Welcome!

Inside the Theatre of the Mind anything is possible.

Our Mission

Radio Theatre Omaha presents bold and diverse stories told through the medium of audio drama, giving local artists a unique voice while engaging the community with dialogue and greater understanding.

Past Productions

  • Atlas Slugged

Radio Theatre Omaha is working on a new chapter in our history - live audio drama presented through Zoom! Please enjoy a performance of Atlas Slugged, an exciting, hilarious space adventure written by Omaha author Brian Kokensparger and directed by Stephanie Kidd!

  • Hollywood: Silent Movies and Sound Effects

In 2020 the Union Pacific Museum in Council Bluffs initiated a program called First Friday for families to come to the museum in the evening and enjoy a time of learning, crafts, food, and fun. The theme for February was Hollywood. To entertain the audience of the evening, Radio Theatre Omaha played a short clip from a Buster Keaton movie called The Goat, playing it once without sound—it was produced as a silent film—and once with our added live sound effects.

  • Black Women Rebel

Unbeknownst to the world, Alexa, Cortana, and Siri are three wise and elder

African-American women who go on vacation together every year. This year, one of them

has plans to go on vacation . . . forever.
